Over the past years, much has been written about me—some of it based on misunderstandings, some on deliberate misinformation. That’s why it’s time to set a few things straight.
I neither work with extremist organizations nor allow myself to be used for political purposes. I am a musician. I love my country. And I claim the right to freely express my opinion—even if not everyone agrees with it.
Regarding the so-called “Schulhof CD” by the NPD:
Three of my songs appeared on a compilation by this party in 2011—however, without my knowledge and without my consent. The rights had been licensed through a North American management company that, at the time, was contractually authorized to distribute my music. As soon as I became aware of this, I took immediate action and categorically prohibited any political use.
On the topic of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution:
A report from the state of Brandenburg claimed that I had performed with my band at a far-right event. This claim was demonstrably false. There was neither a concert on the stated day nor a performance at that location. Only through legal proceedings was it possible to have this false statement removed from the report. The lingering impression remains: it was less about facts and more about publicly discrediting a critical artist.
This page is about transparency. It shows what really happened—and what didn’t. I’m not someone who hides. I stand up for what I believe in, even when it’s uncomfortable.
I am not an extremist. I am an artist with conviction.
