SACHA KORN

Between Sound and Controversy

Sacha Korn is a musician, producer, and music manager. Born in 1975 in Potsdam, Germany, his journey led him from business studies to a scholarship at the Los Angeles Music Academy and MIT in California. After studying with jazz legend Prof. Michael Sagmeister in Frankfurt, Korn built an international network, consulting for 80s superstar Terence Trent D’Arby and releasing artists like Eminem in Eastern Europe, with several earning gold status.

Since 2009, Korn has released music under his own name. His sound blends metal, rock, EBM, and industrial – powerful, unapologetic, and often provocative. His band has played shows from China to Texas, from Moscow to Berlin. In 2016, his rendition of “Das Lied der Deutschen” topped Amazon’s rock charts after a terrorist attack in Berlin.

Korn’s path is marked by courage, artistic independence – and political friction. With multiple albums, international tours, and over 100,000 video views, his fanbase continues to grow. His latest single “König” appears on Face the Beat Vol. 5, which is currently #1 on the global alternative and gothic charts.

2019

On December 6, 2019, the new single “Unsere Kraft” was released.

2016

The album Feuer is released. With this record, the band takes a clear step toward metal. The growing hype around German rock and the countless Onkelz copycats served as the key trigger for this heavier direction.

They wanted to avoid being lumped in with the sea of imitators. This bold move seems to resonate well with fans. Feuer has become their best-selling album to date. The international music scene also takes notice, publishing reviews and conducting interviews.

Several remixes by their friends in the EBM band Acylum made it onto Dark Electro playlists and online radio stations, helping the first single gain broad exposure. The video for Feuer broke the 100,000 views mark within just a few weeks.

In December 2016, as a response to the Islamist attacks on a Berlin Christmas market, the EP Das Lied der Deutschen was re-released digitally as a fundraising initiative. The EP topped Amazon’s music bestseller charts (Rock/Metal genre) for an entire week. With this release, Sacha Korn achieved the first number-one placement in the band’s history.

2012 - 2013

In June, the first single from the album of the same name, Funkenflug, is released. A video is produced for the song,
and a second one follows nearly a year later.

The album gets off to a strong start, prompting the band to produce another video: Aus Tausend Kehlen.
